Another fav...

....from Pete and Isabel's session. Pete is about to go out to sea again after just returning 8 short months ago. It was my pleasure to capture their family, just the way they are. I love this one because I know how he feels about his kids and I am very proud to be able to have caught that on camera.

Proud Mama here...

My oldest daughter is a budding photographer and I couldn't be prouder. Once Lamont is home I want to take her with me and teach her the basics of using a SLR. She definitely has the creativity down!! This is a picture she took of Mayson's feet. I let her play around with my camera one day and she loved it. I decided to make her a little logo for all the pics she takes. She came up with the name herself and I love it. It would make me so proud to actually see her turn this into a business one day. So for you Aly, your first blog post!!

Now accepting pics...

The photo contest has officially started!!! You can start emailing me ONE picture of your child/children. You can enter one of each of your kids and just let me know their names when you email. Send the pictures to: mayacreations4@yahoo.com
Good luck everyone!!!

Vacation Time!!!

I just wanted everyone to know that beginning July 2nd I will be on vacation until the 16th. As many of you know my husband has been deployed for the last 5 1/2 months and he will be home soon so I want to take some time to just enjoy being a wife again and enjoy having my family back together. In this time I will still be keeping up with the contest and taking care of a few odds and ends. If we have already scheduled a meeting within this time, I will still keep that date. I just won't be scheduling any shoots at that time.
Now since i'm a photographer, I just had to add a picture to this post. This was taken the day Lamont left 176 days ago. I will be taking another one just like it when he gets home to show how much the kids have changed and grown!!

Contest starts on Monday

I just wanted to give everyone a head's up that the Kid's Next Top Model contest will start on Monday June 25th. On that day you can start emailing me ONE picture of your child. You can enter all the children in your family if you wish. Also if you are a winner, the session you win can be of your whole family, not just the child who won. Please pass this information on to everyone you know, because if there isn't a good enough interest then the contest won't be able to go on. The email address you can email your pictures to is: mayacreations4@yahoo.com.
Thanks and look forward to seeing all of your beautiful children!!!

So it's almost 1:30 am...but I promised to have a sneak peak tonight, and wanted to deliver before I went to bed!! So you gotta see this little cutie!! He had the biggest, brightest smile and as I'm editing his pics I can't help but to smile myself! I wanted to try some different looks with some of his pics, so I'm hoping they work. I hope you enjoy Kim....the rest will be done by the end of this week!!

Kid's Next Top Model Contest

Here is an overview of the kids model contest. Starting June 25th, I will be accepting pictures taken by YOU, of your children. After 2 weeks of accepting photographs, I and a small panel of judges will pick 5 finalists who will then be listed on my blog for you and your friends and family to come and vote for. Whoever has the most votes will win a free photosession at a location of your choice, and will be featured on the top of my blog banner. So start snapping away!!!

A beautiful family....

This family are good friends of mine. Terry is a personal trainer that I share my studio space with and he's been training me for over a month now. I already knew she had beautiful kids, but wow do they photograph well. As you can see my first "kid's top model" is their son, Myles. I will be posting the details about that tonight. Thanks for stopping by....

Mom's little heartbreakers....

I'm so excited to have this new blog now, that all I want to do is play with it. But of course there are about a million other things to do....laundry, getting my house ready for lamont's homecoming, kids to feed and take care of...you know the essentials!! Thankfully my kids are pretty resourceful, so I can play a little bit longer...lol. Just joking!!

So here is a recent shoot of mine. I am currently working on another client (Kim) and I promise to have a few sneak peaks by tonight!! Scout's honor...lol, yea I was a girlscout for about 4 years and took it very seriously might I add!!
This is from a Nitze family that I did recently. These boys were so cute, and I was so excited to shoot their beautiful eyes!!

New photoblog

Welcome to my new photoblog. This is where you can come and see my latest work and if you are a client, you can come here and see a sneak peak of your pictures before they are ready to be viewed by you. I will also be starting a "kids top model" contest every month. Where you can submit pictures of your children to be voted on for a free photoshoot. After the photoshoot your child will be the "top model" and will appear in my blog header. So start taking pictures of your kiddos and let your friends and family know, and I will keep you posted as to when the contest will begin. So please come check out my site often, and don't forget to comment...I would love to hear feedback from you!!!
So here is the first picture of my new blog. It isn't a clients pic, or even a pic of a person, but it's really special to me. This is my oldest daughter Aly's flower that we planted over a month ago. She takes care of it and is really proud of it.
