A Sneak Peak for you Nena!

As many of you know, Haley won August's Kid's Next Top Model contest and we had her shoot a couple of weeks ago. Most of them are done and I just need to upload them to my proofing site, but I wanted to show a few to mom before I sent her the link. One thing that I noticed in all of Haley's pictures is that she is a DIVA!!! She is so cute and really seemed to have fun with her pictures. I have chosen the picture for the banner, and that will be premiered tomorrow!! So enjoy Nena and I will send you the link to your proofs soon!

Ramblings....

This summer has been a very busy one. Lamont came home early July, we've had family and friends come in and out of town, lots of new clients, alot of repeat clients and I was recently hired to photograph my second wedding! I love being busy but it does slow me down from editing right now. I'm in the process of finishing August's banner winner and I will have that done in a couple of days with a sneak peak for momma (thanks for being patient). I will also be starting September's Kid's next top model contest soon, so get your pictures ready to be submitted!!!

My preteen...

Insert a big *sigh* here...My son turned 12 on Friday and gone are the days of matchbox cars and "mommy push me on the swing". Now it's all about the playstation 2 and "mom please don't embarrass me". He is turning into a wonderful young man, full of personality and humor...but I can't help but to miss the days when I could walk with him hand in hand to his classroom. I remember his first day of pre-k. He was only 4 years old. He wore a blue and green polo shirt with matching navy blue shorts and brown sandals. I walked him to Mrs. Roldan's classroom and he was so excited with his winnie the pooh backpack and huge toothless grin. I dropped him off and he gave me a kiss at the door and off he went, and off I went crying all the way to my car. Now I can't even walk him to his bus stop in fear that I will embarrass him. I know he still has many more milestones ahead of him, and I look forward to watching him go through it all. I just wish I could stop time for a bit and hold on to him for just a little longer. That is the #1 reason why I love being a photographer. I get to capture that time for people, times we forget in our very hectic life. These pictures will always be a treasure for me. My "want to be grown" 12 year old, just as he is....

Here's a sneak peek for ya Julie!!

Well vacation is over and my hubby goes back to work tomorrow, so I am back at work editing and taking pics! This is a session from a few of my FAVORITE subjects!!! I have been photographing this family for almost a year now. These children are as beautiful as they come! I absolutely love being their photographer!! Sorry Julie that it's taken me awhile to get these done, but I really hope you love them. I tried some different techniques on them. I wanted to try an anitique look for a few of them. I promise they will all be done within the next couple of days...enjoy!

I decided to change the contest around a little for the good.
