Alice in Wonderland

So who didn't love the quirkiness of Alice in Wonderland when you were a kid? I know it was a movie that i didn't truly get as a kid, and honestly don't really get it now..but there was always something so magical about it. Now with the Tim Burton version out in theatres i've noticed alot of Wonderland inspired shoots so i wanted to try my hand at it. I love taking a concept and making it my own and with the help of a very creative model i was able to recreate my own Wonderland. Here are a few that i've edited so far. This model Yohelisa styled herself and added her own "Alice" elements into her outfits. This was definitely a fun shoot to do and I look forward to editing more of these!

Yay..i came back to blog today..

So today i want to talk about insipiration. As a photographer we draw inspiration from all over the place. I can be driving down the road and see something that will make me stop and take pictures on the spot. Or it can be in the form of other artists. A friend of mine put me on to this incredible blog... http://colormekatie.blogspot.com/ this extremely creative, child like, little lady makes you want to just live in her world for a day. The way she looks at life and tries to change the negatives into positives is so infectious that i could look at her blog all day!! She makes me want to start cutting up paper and just redecorating my entire world to look a little happier, a little brighter. Thank goodness for creative people...they can make you look at the world in such a different light!!

Another form of creativity is music. This 16 year old is determined to teach herself to play this guitar and has already done an amazing job with it. I love seeing youth finding what their passion is at such a young age..

What my blog will offer...

For over two years I dedicated my photography to strictly families, but just over a year ago I started dabbling in fashion photography and I have to say I'm hooked!! My blog will offer a blend of both worlds. I will share both families (probably alot of my own) and fashion (models, fashion shows, nightlife events). I hope that when you visit my blog you will find something that interests you, or even see ideas that you would like to try. I will also share my personal life so you can get to know me as your photographer. I hope you frequent my blog for specials, and contests that will only be offered on this site. Thank you again for stopping by!

Ok really back...

And to prove it I am offering a special for the first 5 people who respond to this post. You will get a customize 1 hour photoshoot and 10 fully edited images on cd for $50. And if you check my prices on my website, that is a great deal! This can either be done in studio or at a location of your choice. So happy posting!!! And to celebrate me being back, I want to show off some of my favorite kind of pictures to take, maternity. I think they are my favorite because before photography I was going to be a labor and delivery nurse or doula. I've always been fascinated with childbirth and the miracle of it. So this offers me the chance to truly caputre the beauty of pregnancy. This is the co-owner of a local modeling agency, Studio 76. She is a wonderful, beautiful person and I LOVED photographing her wonderful family. I can't wait to meet her new little man who was recently born, and snap a few pictures of him! Enjoy!
